Harris Lowe Academy Willesden offers a high‑quality, inclusive venue designed to support a wide range of community and corporate uses.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the modern all‑glass building spans three floors and over 30 classrooms, allowing activities to be grouped together while maintaining privacy. The main building is fully accessible, with lifts throughout and facilities designed to support disabled access.
The school features specialist dance studios, a theatre with a stunning atrium ideal for welcoming guests and hosting large gatherings, and a sports hall with retractable seating and a specialist basketball sprung floor. In addition, the site benefits from a full‑size FA‑registered all‑weather pitch, complete with changing rooms, showers, and separate toilet facilities, making it ideal for sports clubs, leagues, and training sessions.
Wi‑Fi is available throughout the venue, supporting meetings, workshops, conferences, and community programmes.
Competitive rates are offered, with negotiated discounts available for longer‑term lets, and the school is particularly keen to support the local community.
The facilities are well suited to children’s parties, clubs, classes, celebrations, and community groups, as well as corporate and training events.
With entrances from both Willesden Sports Centre and the main entrance on Doyle Gardens the site benefits from a large, gated car park, and a side access road to support the movement of equipment, the site is practical, accessible, and welcoming. Excellent transport links to central London and rare, spacious grassed outdoor areas further enhance this versatile site, which is here to support all groups.
Our facilities
- Dance Studios – The academy offers two fully equipped dance studios designed to support a wide range of creative and physical activities. One generously sized, mirrored studio accommodates up to 50 people, while the second well – proportioned studio accommodates up to 30 people providing flexibility for different group sizes and uses.
- 3G All Weather Football Pitch – FA accredited to host affiliated league football matches, can be divided into thirds for 7-a-side use. Supported by changing rooms, showers, classroom and toilet facilities.
- Theatre & Atrium – Ground Floor (capacity - 171), Upper balcony (capacity - 81) and we can set a maximum of 5 rows of seats with an extra 75 seating space. Facilities include projector, large screen, and retractable seating if the theatre space is required for alternative uses. The theatre opens onto a bright, impressive atrium flooded with natural light, creating a welcoming focal point for the building. The atrium is ideal for guest arrivals, interval refreshments, exhibitions, registration areas, and large gatherings, offering a professional yet welcoming atmosphere for performances, conferences, and community events
- Classrooms – Some classrooms feature retractable walls, two rooms to be combined into a larger space, ideal for training sessions or accommodating larger groups.
- Sports Hall – Retractable bleacher seating with capacity for up to 450 spectators. Markings for basketball courts futsal & netball. Suitable for gymnastics use, training sessions and competitive events. Specialised sprung floor. Changing rooms
- Canteen Area – The canteen is equipped with tables and seating on wheels, allowing the space to be easily reconfigured to support gatherings, rehearsals, training sessions, or visitor registration.
- Tennis Courts – Two tennis courts available.
- Large Outdoor Grass Area – suitable for sports activities, training, and community events
