Why Choose Us

Choosing the right secondary school is one of the most important decisions a family can take. You want a school where your child will feel safe, supported and inspired to be their best self.

Harris Lowe Academy Willesden provides an exceptional environment for academic and sporting excellence, whilst nurturing artistic creativity, wellbeing and leadership potential within a rich and diverse community.

Our staff, students and families are united in striving to make our academy the best it can possibly be, captured in our vision: Strong Values. Strong Outcomes. Strong Futures. Every day our expert teachers and dedicated support team work together to bring this vision to life.

Our broad, ambitious curriculum opens doors, setting students up for life-long success. Alongside strong foundations in English, mathematics and science, students study a rich range of subjects across the arts, sports, humanities and several languages, building deep knowledge, character and confidence.

Students speak highly of their time with us and are proud of the progress they make. Jasmine is in Year 9 and her comment is typical: “I’m really proud of where I am today,” she says.

We set high standards for behaviour and conduct, with clear routines and consistent expectations that help students feel safe, respected and ready to learn. Beyond the classroom, we provide a wide enrichment programme that broadens horizons and builds belonging through clubs, sport, arts, leadership opportunities. This helps students to grow in confidence, resilience and character, and to feel proud of being part of our academy.
