Ms Ratheram is an Assistant Principal at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden, overseeing Sixth Form and Careers.
Originally from Shropshire, she graduated from University College London with an MSc in Mathematics. Ms Ratheram trained through Teach First, teaching Mathematics at Preston Manor School while completing a Masters in Educational Leadership from UCL Institute of Education. She went on to lead the initiation of KS5 Mathematics and Further Mathematics at William Perkin C of E High School and then took on the role of Head of Mathematics at Northwood School.
Ms Ratheram joined our Academy in 2023 as part of the safeguarding team, becoming DSL before moving into her current role.
Proudest moment in education: Celebrating with our staff and students during my first year leading the Sixth Form when our results in 2025 placed us as fourth in the country for progress amongst comparable academies. Achieving these results meant that our students were able to access opportunities that they would otherwise not have considered, and it was an honour to play a small part in that.
What I love most about HLAW: Seeing our students become young professionals as they finish their seven-year journey with us, taking the values that we have instilled in them into society.
