Mrs Hersi is an Assistant Principal at Harris Lowe Academy Willesden, overseeing Alternative Provision and Manage Moves, DEIB and Anti-Racism, and Year 11 pastoral care.
With nearly 20 years of experience in education, she is an experienced senior leader committed to inclusive practice and securing strong outcomes for all students. Having grown up and continuing to live in Brent, she is especially proud to serve the community that helped shape her own journey.
Mrs Hersi studied Human Resources Management at North London University before moving from a brief career in HR into education. A proud mother of four, she believes deeply in the transformative power of education to expand opportunity and shape life chances.
Proudest moment in education: Leading the turnaround of a previously struggling department by establishing a culture of high expectations, resilience, and improved outcomes for students.
What I love most about HLAW: The students of HLAW, whom I consider – alongside my own children – to be among my greatest teachers. It is a privilege to support their growth and success while serving this richly diverse community.
